Product engineering brief
Flame-Retardant Sealing & Vent Components
Die-cut seals, gaskets and vent-adjacent parts for normal environmental duty and defined event behavior.

The engineering problem
Start with the installed interface.
Leakage, water ingress, compression, opening pressure and event flow are separate requirements that must not be hidden behind one material label.
We convert candidate elastomer, foam, film, mesh or membrane components and control the geometry, adhesive and liner to drawing.
Position and function
Where this component works—and what it must do
- Pack seam
- Pressure vent
- Lid outlet
- ESS cabinet
- Cable and service interface
- Normal-service sealing
- Pressure equalization
- Vent-adjacent protection
- Assembly compression control
Selection logic
Decision data customers and engineers expect
| Decision dimension | What must be defined |
|---|---|
| Media | Define air/gas, water, condensate and fluid exposure. |
| Pressure | State normal differential, opening and event conditions. |
| Compression | Calculate installed strain around flange tolerance. |
| Life | Define cycles, aging and post-condition leak/flow criteria. |
Engineering data
Available parameters and validation status
| Parameter | Value / range | Condition | Method | Evidence state |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Material | Elastomer, foam, film, mesh or membrane candidate | Define with application | Grade / project specific | Application validation required |
| Compression / sealing | Geometry and grade specific | Define with application | Grade / project specific | Application validation required |
| Environmental evidence | Complete enclosure validation required | Define with application | Grade / project specific | Application validation required |
| Adhesive / liner | Custom to assembly process | Define with application | Grade / project specific | Customizable target |
Ranges are selection windows or material-family references, not universal guarantees. Final values are tied to the approved grade, converted construction, thickness, conditioning and test method.

Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before sampling
Can a seal carry a universal IP rating?
No. IP applies to the complete enclosure and installation under the named test.
Can flame-retardant mean fireproof?
No. Any classification applies to a specific material thickness and test method, not unlimited fire exposure.
Can the liner include pull tabs?
Yes, subject to geometry and process feasibility; tabs can improve assembly repeatability.
